Marsha’s trunk show will include Reversible Garments that provide two unique looks in just one garment. Save time in construction by eliminating facings, linings and handwork. Maximize sewing time and free up space in your closet or suitcase. Learn how to select the right patterns for reversible clothing, see the best fabrics and construction tips that make it all work. Marsha will show you pockets that flip from side to side, garments that always button on the correct side, reversible garment from a single layer of double-sided fabric plus lots more creative ideas.

Noon to 4PM – Afternoon Workshop: Flippy Gored Skirt
Make this quick, Flippy Gored Skirt using two pattern pieces and a serger. It’s perfect with sandals and a t-shirt or a sweater and boots for winter. The comfortable elastic waistband allows a top to be tucked into the skirt or worn outside. Designed to be made from knits, you can use one, two or three different fabrics for a one-of-a-kind look.

CRS member Marsha McClintock is designer/owner of SAF-T-POCKETS Patterns where she creates  patterns suited for travel or everyday.  She enjoys teaching and creating classes that inspire and motivate students to try new things.  Marsha uses creative samples to show techniques and supplies good handouts showing the steps to complete the project.    You can count on her to have innovative ideas that will get students excited about sewing.   Her knowledge and sense of humor make for informative, fun classes.  She has taught at the American Sewing Guild national conferences, sewing shows across the US and at her annual SAF-T-POCKETS’ Sew Inns.

In addition, Marsha organizes and guides groups of women on sewing adventures from New York to Hong Kong with her Sew Many Options Tours. She is a past president of the Association of Sewing & Design Professionals, Oregon Chapter, and has written for Sew News and taught on Craftsy.
